Scott Clark, a sophomore at Berthoud High in Colorado, was second in his section and overall in the boys varsity small school race at the 16th Desert Twilight Festival by clocking 16:37.9 on the 5-kilometer layout at the Coyote Run Golf Course at Leisure World in Mesa, Ariz. Clark helped Berthoud prevail by a 62-108 margin against Lutheran-Parker of Colorado.
